My teaching encompasses public relations and communications; gender and sexual identity; intersectional feminism and media representation.
My strength lies in customizing lessons to the diverse needs and interests of students. I incorporate real-life examples from my professional career, including press releases, pitches, and client strategies.
I prioritize empathy, community-building, and fostering genuine belonging in the classroom. I want to empower students not just with knowledge, but also essential problem-solving and critical thinking skills to prepare them for the industry.
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Iām a fierce advocate for marginalized groups and hope to show the possibilities of leading an authentic, open life. I actively incorporate diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility principles and curate a wide range of scholarship, drawing from intersectional feminism and Black feminist thought. I foreground accessibility of all kinds, including from a neurodiverse perspective, and include multiple ways of communicating and thinking.
